What a great evening! After John and Tracy came over, we had homemade bean soup, fresh salsa, sesame crackers, and chardonnay -- everything as low in sodium as possible. We ate the whole pot!! Just as we got the table cleared off and set up to play the card game "golf", we heard a car drive up, noise outside, then somebody rattling around the doorway. It was Amanda with her old friend from high school, Melanie. They got here just in time to play cards with us. It was one of those evenings where conversation flowed from one thing to another, a variety of dessert type goodies was consumed, and a couple of rounds of a mean card game were played. And, since this is my blog, I can brag that I won both rounds...nyah, nyah, nyah. (Sorry, John. :-) These photos were taken just as the evening was breaking up and everybody was bundling up against the zero weather.
